Wisdom is doing the right thing. Leadership is doing the right thing first. ## What is Digital Transformation? Digital Transformation is an investment strategy engine. Based upon data, you plan your future investments, time, and money to lead to better data and outcomes.   ![Leadership-1](https://blog.datanetworks.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Leadership-1.jpg?width=300&name=Leadership-1.jpg) Investments into newer capabilities, technologies, etc pay for themselves faster than any investments in legacy technology by providing actionable processes and solutions.     That may sound expensive, but in truth it is as simple as doing the following: 1. For one week, keep a record of your investments: where are you spending time and money? 2. At the end of the week, review your investments 3. Plan the upcoming week: where do you think you can do better? 4. Repeat this list of steps consistently again and again With such a deceptively simple process, there is plenty of opportunity for refinement and tweaking it over time. But that continuous improvement is built into the process, and that is why this is often called an "engine." The goal is to improve that process so you are not just “doing” the right things, but “doing them first”... aka Leadership.
